BEN BYRNE was born in London and studied Drama & Film at the University of Manchester. He later lived in San Francisco, New York and Tokyo, working in cultural insight, ethnographic film and playing music.
His first novel, FIRE FLOWERS was published by Europa Editions in the UK & US in February 2015, having originally been published as FIREFLIES by House of Anansi Press in Canada in October 2013
His short fiction has appeared in Litro magazine, Writer's Hub and Open Pen, with two stories - WAITING FOR A HURRICANE and LOW TIDE AT ENGLISH KILLS - published in the OPEN PEN ANTHOLOGY in March 2016.
He lives in the East End of London.
